People continue to tell me how damn huge my horse is. I continue to not really notice. Every once in awhile I will see him next to something that really gives me a reminder that he is, actually, a big damn horse. Here he is with his paddock mate, Jasper. Jasper is an Amish pony. Poor Jasper is just like Laddie was when he was rescued - no forelock. The damn Amish people cut the forelocks off so they don't have to bother with them. Asshats.

Yeah, that's a stock boy there. Hairy heels and all. You've probably said, but how many hands is he? I'm pretty surprised that Jasper gets along in there. Ponies can be pretty grumpy animals sometimes.
The other thing I forget is the difference between horses and ponies. I seem to recall that it has something to do with bones in the foreleg or something. I do know that it is size. There are horses that are smaller than ponies, so that ain't it.
Anyway, he's a beautiful example, ain't he?
